封闭词类的词类转换 比如，副词down、 out、up以及感叹词hail、boo等
o down：
He downed his drink in one gulp.（他一口咽下了饮料。） （“down”表示“吞下”“咽下”）
o out：
o 常见意思包括“出去”“不在家”“出局”“熄灭”“揭露”“出版”等。例 His secret was finally out.（他的秘密最终被揭露了。）
o up：
She's up for a promotion at work.
- 她在工作中有望晋升。
o hail：
o 主要有“欢呼”“赞扬”“招呼”“下冰雹”等含义。作动词的例子如下：
o The crowd hailed the victory.（人群为胜利欢呼。）
o It hailed heavily last night.（昨晚下了很大的冰雹。）
o He hailed a taxi.（他叫了一辆出租车。）
o boo： 可以表示“发出嘘声”“喝倒彩”。
The audience booed the singer when he came on stage.
（当那位歌手上台时，观众发出了嘘声。）
情态动词must、but、if等可用作名词：

- must-win: 必胜
- must-read: 必读
- must-do: 必做
